PUTTING THE INTERNATIONAL DIMENSION AT THE HEART OF OUR GRANDE ECOLE PROGRAM

THE ORIENTATION SEMINAR IN TOKYO

The introductory seminar in Tokyo offers you an immediate international experience in year 1.

This optional seminar at the beginning of your first year of studies lasts 2 weeks and is partly funded by our network of partner companies.  Students are able to discover a new country and its culture as well as taking courses in English.

DISCOVER DUBLIN IN YEAR 1

In year 1, you’ll take a month-long full immersion course at Dublin Business School in Ireland. You’ll benefit from nearly 100 hours of classes taught in English by local lecturers offering you a truly international experience.

EXPLORE CHINA IN YEAR 2

In year 2, we’ll offer you the opportunity to spend up to 2 months learning in China.

Among other things, the objective of this study abroad period in China is to open up students to the international dimension of the careers their programme of study prepares them for.  Your time spent in China will be divided up as follows:

  • Discovering the impressive modernity of Shanghai
  • Discovering the traditions and heritage of Chengdu

The two very different faces of the two provinces will enable you to better understand the different potentials for development in a dynamic and fast-changing country.

THE INTERCULTURAL MANAGEMENT SEMESTER (SMI)

Within the framework of the Grande Ecole programme, the Intercultural Management Semester is also offered to students at final year undergraduate level.

During one semester, students will travel from Asia to the United States of America following a programme of study that includes theoretical input combined with rewarding real-world encounters with business managers.

My experience teaching on this programme is unique.  As a Groupe IGS alumnus, I’m very enthusiastic about the way the pedagogical approach has developed to satisfy the requirements of employers.  The fact that courses are taught in English straight away in the first year offers students an international perspective and helps them prepare for their study abroad semester.  The same thing goes for the employability of our students, which is boosted by the work-study options on offer, as well as the range of specialisations and the career opportunities they provide.
