Me, President : Rendez-vous with Democracy !

During the months of February and March 2022, the IGS Paris Group campus lives to the rhythm of "Moi President(e)", an unprecedented event that mobilizes and raises awareness among students, work-study students and apprentices about the challenges of the presidential elections: workshops and events, but above all exchanges and debates around the proposals of our learners.

Me, President

5 years have passed since our “On the way to the presidential elections”, which had seen a meeting in our campus, in front of an audience of more than 500 people, candidates and party representatives, to debate around the proposals of our apprentices, work-study students and students.

Our campus is once again seizing the presidential elections to mobilize and raise awareness among our thousands of young learners, with "Moi Président(e)"! the unmissable event that will punctuate our coming weeks.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS TO TALK CITIZENSHIP

Our scholars are part of a generation that has little interest in politics. If the notion of cause (especially ecological) is obvious to them, the links with democracy and politics are seriously weakening. More sensitive to collective actions, they do not find themselves in "old-fashioned" politics.

"Me, President" is an opportunity to make our apprentices, work-study students and students aware of the political climate, and therefore of democracy. No biases, no political parties but games, animations, debates... and above all, give our learners a chance to speak and exchange!

PREPARE THE CAMPAIGN

Since November, several “awakening to citizenship” workshops have been launched with our students. Several themes have been identified:
- Economics, taxation and Entrepreneurship, for the Management sector,
- Training, employment, professional inclusion for the Human Resources sector,
- Ecology and environment, responsible consumption for the Commerce sector.

In parallel, to nourish the reflections, the students in journalism of the school ISCPA created a special magazine called: So What "ça urge!" : what are the expectations of young people? What topics appeal to them? How do they engage... or do they not? Testimonials, an interview with Sarah El Haïry, Secretary of State in charge of youth and commitment, sociologist decryption, this Special Edition is a goldmine of information and an excellent basis for our event "Me President(e)" .

These proposals, once established, are sent in the form of a survey to all learners on our campus and submitted to open voting until the end of February.

WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS TO EXPRESS YOURSELF

Since the start of the school year in January, the Express Yourself cultural workshops in B1 and B2 have been exclusively redesigned for the operation: creation of graphical charter and logos for the different political parties, portraits and political self-portraits on smartphones, production of electoral video clips, presentation of electoral programs…

In addition to the disposal of voting booths to vote on the proposals of our learners, several video booths will flourish in the different halls of our campus, to make your own electoral spot!
The best videos will be selected by a jury, with the winner being announced on Thursday March 10, the day of our big debate.

THURSDAY MARCH 10, HIGHLIGHT OF THE CAMPAIGN

The Atelier des Savoirs, a traditional conference meeting, will be transformed for the occasion into a special debate "Me President(e)", on Thursday March 10, from 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., in the hall of the Parodi house.

The debate will be animated with apprentices, work-study students and students from different business sectors, with several guests, to decipher the major trends of youth and politics and the proposals voted on by students on our campus.

The afternoon will also be devoted to the presentation of the creations of our students during the Express Yourself workshops and the revelation of the winners of the videomaton competition.
