Visa

Campus France

France has implemented a network of agencies called Campus France in 86 countries in the world. Students applying for a study visa are required to register with their country of residence’s Campus France agency. To see if your country of residence has a Campus France agency click here

To register with Campus France, go to your country’s Campus France website in the English version. Read carefully “the study abroad students” section and follow the procedure. Disregard the section “studying in France” (red box on the homepage) since you already have been accepted in our Programme. Once you have registered with Campus France, they will ask you to send the letter of acceptance from ICD and the Campus France fee.

The time Campus France process takes varies, depending on various factors. Register early. Once you get the approval from Campus France, you must apply for your visa which is usually granted within 2 to 3 weeks at the nearest French consulate.

If you are living abroad, we strongly advise you to go to the website of the French Consulate in your national country and see what documentation is required and send that in also with what is required in your country of residence. Example: if you are Bolivian but living in the United States, check on what is required for a Bolivian and send that in to the Consulate in the United States.

Reminder:

  1. Check your approval status on the Campus France website or your email (including Junk Mail Box) on a regular basis.
  2. If you did not get your Campus France approval within 3 weeks, contact Campus France.
  3. Don’t wait for your approval to schedule your French Consulate appointment.

BEFORE ARRIVAL

If you are not a citizen of a European Union member country, Andorra, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Monaco, Norway or Switzerland, and you are coming to France to study for more than 3 months, you must apply for a long stay visa (more than 90 days) to study in France before leaving your country of residence.

Students must complete and submit a “long stay student visa” application for stays of 3-12 months to their appropriate Consulate. You will either apply for a VLS – TS or a Visa D, the Consulate will make the decision. If you are Algerian, you will apply for a VLS Visa

If you obtain a VLS-TS visa, you must validate your visa via this website :

Foreign National Administration

Paris Campus

Paris, the capital of France, is a major world metropolis and center for culture, art, fashion, gastronomy, and intellectual life. The Seine river traverses the city; its waterways, quays, and bridges are major thoroughfares but also ways to see the city’s most famous monuments, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre museum, and the Notre Dame cathedral. The city is known for its cafés (one for every 200 inhabitants); its parks (Bois de Boulogne, Jardin de Luxembourg, Bois de Vincennes); its street life and markets, and as a magnet for visitors from around the world. The city is divided into 20 different arrondissements, or districts, which number from 1st to 20th. The first is in the center of Paris and the others spread around it in a counter clockwise snail shell shape. ICD is located in the central 10th district, close to the famous canal Saint Martin. It is an ideal location for students.  The district is buzzing with a variety of shops, restaurants, bars and sports or cultural activities on offer.

The climate in Paris is mild, though this is obviously very much a question of personal appreciation. The temperature rarely drops below 0°C and is pleasantly warm in spring and summer, rarely exceeding 30°C. The wind chill factor, especially on those wide Parisian boulevards can make it seem colder, but you don't really need heavy duty winter wear, unless you are a chilly. Current students stress that it gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter, but Paris rarely gets snowboun. By opting to study at our business school in Paris, you’ll be choosing a vibrant student city bustling with bars and places to party at the weekend. Paris has a thousand different sides to it, offering you a rich variety of districts each with a wide choice of things to explore! Paris also offers students a cultural life that is rich and unequalled in France, with museums, exhibitions, concerts and numerous events organised on a daily basis. There truly is something for everybody.

Paris also offers green spaces where you can go for a stroll at the weekend, such as the famous parc des Buttes-Chaumont, an unusual and charming public garden with a small lake and cliffs. The city offers students an amazing choice of things to do and an exceptionally high quality of life. Be sure of one thing, you’ll never be bored in Paris ! ICD is located in premises on rue Alexandre Parodi, which we share with several other Groupe IGS schools, meaning you’ll have plenty of opportunities to socialize and make new friends. Thanks to our lively campus and a central location in Paris, you’ll never be short of new things to do and broaden your horizons !
